Quality and traceability
Tropical Frespi supplies fruit, vegetables and fresh produce to businesses in Panama on a quote basis. We work with perishable product, and that demands discipline: knowing where each product comes from, what format it's sold in, checking it on arrival and responding fast when something arrives in bad shape. This page sums up what we do today and what we're still building, with no embellishment.
What we practice today
Origin recorded per product
Every product in the catalog states whether it's local, imported or of variable origin depending on the season. We don't label something local when it isn't: when origin depends on the time of year, we say so.
Defined pack sizes
You quote on clear formats: pound, unit, box, sack, bunch, tray or bag, depending on the product. If you need a specific size or format, note it in your request and the team confirms it.
Receiving checks
Product is inspected on arrival: overall condition, ripeness and packaging, depending on the type of product. Whatever fails the check is not dispatched to customers.
Handling by category
Not everything is handled the same way. Fresh, frozen, pulp and ready-to-use products are stored and transported according to what each category needs to arrive in condition.
Batch traceability
In developmentWe record batch traceability when the product allows it: not all fresh produce arrives with an identifiable batch, and we won't promise tracking that doesn't yet cover the whole catalog. It's ongoing work, starting with the categories where the batch holds up best along the chain.
If your business needs traceability information for a specific product, mention it when you request a quote and we'll tell you clearly what we can document today for that product.
A documented claims process
If a product arrives in poor condition or different from what was agreed, there's a clear channel to report it: write to us on WhatsApp or by email with your order reference and photos of the product, and the team follows up until it's closed.

You won't see certification logos on this page. We will only publish seals or certifications once they are current and verifiable. In the meantime, we'd rather tell you what we actually do in daily operations and answer any question directly.
